Inner Parts Meditation

You may have encountered the concepts of inner child work, shadow work, re-parenting, parts work or Internal Family Systems (IFS) before.

To keep it brief and simple: Each of us is composed of various facets of our identity, multiple layers of our being. You can think of these as parts or “sub-personalities)— which can include aspects like an inner child, a critical voice, or rebellious energy, and others. Sometimes, these parts can conflict with each other, leading to internal struggles and emotional distress, which then cause conflict in our relationships and out in the world.

Parts work is a therapeutic approach that aims to help us understand and work with these different parts of ourselves so we can experience greater ease, harmony, balance and healing. (Learn more in the FAQs)

I’ve created an introductory Inner Parts Meditation to help you meet and engage with a part of yourself that is ready for connection.
